I grew up “city”, urban, Air Force brat… not in the country, not on a farm and not in a family that cooked on cast iron. Not uncommon to most. However, my Grandmothers, would not be able to relate to that first sentence.
My goal this year is to cook more with my cast iron pans and pick up some of the enamel Lodge dutch ovens and such. I want to perfect my own recipes and gather some new recipes to try.
I was definitely one who coveted the Le Creuset brand, but the price is something that I can’t justify. The Lodge cast Iron sets are a little more agreeable in price.
